Battery materials startup GDI raised $11.5 million in Series A funding, bringing its total to over $20 million. The Rochester, NY-based company develops silicon anodes offering 30% more energy density and faster EV charging times. The funding, led by Helios Climate Ventures, Impact NY, and InnoEnergy, will help scale production at its Netherlands pilot plant.
