Essar Group plans to transform the UK's Stanlow refinery into the world's first decarbonised green refinery, aiming to cut carbon emissions by 95% using blue hydrogen for heating and power. The HyNet project will produce 350 MW of blue hydrogen initially, increasing to 1 GW, while capturing and storing carbon.
