Engie Expands Red Sea Wind Project in Egypt to 650 MW

Engie has announced an increase in capacity for its Red Sea wind energy project in Egypt from 500 MW to 650 MW. Located in Ras Ghareb, on the Gulf of Suez, the project is being developed with Orascom Construction, Toyota Tsusho, and Eurus Energy. Currently, 306 MW is connected to the grid, with the remaining 344 MW expected by Q3 2025.
