EDF has partnered with Elements Green to develop the 360MW/720MWh Staythorpe battery energy storage system in Nottinghamshire, UK, operational by 2027. It will be one of the largest in the country, powering over 95,000 homes for a day and supporting renewable energy integration. EDF ensures financial stability via grid balancing and a 15-year capacity contract, while managing the battery with its Powershift platform.
