Drax has enlisted Cowi and Pini to advance plans for Cruachan 2, a £500M pumped storage hydro plant in Scotland. The project will expand the existing Cruachan facility by adding a 600MW power station, increasing its capacity to over 1GW. The firms will support the front-end engineering and design phase, utilizing their expertise in civil, marine, geotechnics, and mechanical systems.
