Chandigarh Power Distribution Ltd (CPDL) has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to procure 50 MW solar power coupled with battery energy storage for Chandigarh. Under SECI's ISTS Tranche XX, the project will supply around 135 million units annually and cut over 96 tonnes of CO2 yearly.
