Coal India Limited (CIL) has approved a joint venture with U.P. Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) to develop Renewable Energy Projects in Uttar Pradesh. The venture will focus on constructing, operating, and maintaining solar, floating solar, wind, and pumped storage projects, as well as selling the generated power.
