Centrica has signed a £20 billion deal with Norway’s state-owned Equinor to secure natural gas supply for a decade, with an option to substitute some gas with hydrogen in the future. Equinor has supplied the UK for over 45 years and now accounts for half of UK gas imports, as the country moves away from Russian energy.
