The Central Government is planning new cybersecurity norms to prevent battery tampering in electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) and three-wheelers (E3Ws), particularly imported models. The proposed regulations will require stronger software safeguards, while mobile apps capable of exploiting battery vulnerabilities may be banned.
