Chandigarh has secured approval for 328 electric buses, the highest allocation under the Centre’s PM-eBus Sewa Scheme, leading 20 Indian cities. Sanctioned by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, this move supports Chandigarh’s goal to fully electrify its bus fleet. With 80 e-buses already operational, nearly all 400 buses will soon be electric.
