BMW Malaysia and the University of Malaya have partnered to repurpose used electric vehicle (EV) batteries into practical energy storage solutions, demonstrating real-world applications of circular energy systems. The collaboration involves three UM-linked institutions—UMPEDAC, UMCares, and UMSDC—and extends to community impact initiatives, including providing battery-powered energy packs to the Orang Asli Semai community in Pahang for refrigeration of food and essential needs.
