Ashok Leyland Ltd., India’s second-largest truck and bus maker, has partnered with China’s CALB Group under a 20-year agreement to import and eventually domestically assemble lithium-ion battery cells. CEO Shenu Agarwal highlighted plans to master battery design and manufacturing in India gradually.
