The Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) has rejected an interim stay application filed by BESCOM against a Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) order allowing Brics Renewable Energy Private Limited to retain a tariff of ₹5.07/kWh for its 20 MW solar project. The Tribunal cited BESCOM’s prolonged delay in challenging the 2021 order, prior compliance through tariff payments, and repeated adjournments.
