Dubai-based Renewables developer AMEA Power has commissioned the 500 MW Amunet Wind Power Plant in Egypt’s Red Sea Governorate two and a half months early. Now Africa’s largest operational Wind Farm, AMEA owns 60% of the project, with Sumitomo Corporation holding 40%. Located in Ras Ghareb, it will generate around 2,500 GWh annually, powering over 500,000 homes.
