Amara Raja Energy & Mobility says India’s lithium-ion ecosystem is emerging but EV makers will not see immediate cost benefits due to higher domestic production costs and limited scale. The company has committed ₹10,000 crore investment by 2032 to build lithium cell and pack manufacturing. It plans 2 GWh bulk production by 2027, initially serving EVs and later diversified segments.
