Adani Power Lays Foundation for Rs 48,000 Crore Assam Thermal Project

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma laid foundation for Adani Power's Rs 48,000-crore 3,200 MW ultra-supercritical thermal plant at Chapar, Dhubri, part of Rs 63,000-crore state power investment with phased commissioning from December 2030. One of Assam's largest single investments and part of Gautam Adani's Rs 1 lakh crore Northeast pledge, it aims to generate employment, boost local industries, economic activity and SGST revenues.
