Italian Researchers Innovate Silver Recovery from Solar Cells

Researchers from Italy's University of Camerino Developed a new method to recover Silver from end-of-life Solar Cells with 98% efficiency. They combined hydrometallurgical leaching & Electrochemical processes, overcoming challenges with Silver & Copper. The optimized method used base-activated Persulfate and Ammonia, followed by electrodeposition, showing improved purity & environmental benefits.
